| Casey Lessard's portraiture and candid photojournalism have earned acclaim locally, provincially, nationally and internationally. Residents of Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada know his work as publisher of one of Ontario's best small newspapers, the Grand Bend Strip. As a photographer and writer, he has won numerous provincial and national awards through OCNA and CCNA competitions. Casey was named the Ontario Community Newspaper Association’s second best photographer in 2006, 2007 and 2009. In 2010, Casey was named by Scott Bourne of PhotoFocus as a finalist for his Emerging Photographer of the Year competition. Born in Huron Park, Ontario, Casey attended the University of Western Ontario (Classical Studies ‘96), Fanshawe College (Broadcast Journalism ’98) and Loyalist College (Photojournalism ’03). Casey is now living in Oxford, England to support his favourite model, Anjhela Michielsen, as she pursues her master's at the esteemed university.
