I don't know if this bird had a name, but I'll give it a name anyway. I think this bird was hit by one of the annoying dirt bike riders that fly past our apartment all the time. They really don't care about anything but themselves, and I suspect this is the result of their carelessness.

This was barely touched in Photoshop because it actually looked this way overnight. The clouds are lit by post-midnight full moon light. Long exposure helps, but to the eye, this is pretty close to how it looked. Seriously incredible!

Five Fun Days is a great event where local kids are invited to come and share company for a week. It's made even more interesting by the fact that the activities are punctuated by the presence of North Middlesex firefighters who hose down the kids with fire hoses. Sometimes they get each other instead.
